Description

c/n 3084. Built 1969 and served with No.6, 29, 54, 56 and 111 Squadrons, as well as with 228 Opertional Conversion Unit. In 1979 she undertook a commemorative Transatlantic flight to mark 60 years since Alcock and Brown’s first non-stop crossing. She was given a special colours scheme and the flight took place on 21st June that year. She was retired service in July 1992 and delivered to Hendon that November. She wears the markings of her final operator, 56 Squadron, and is on display in Hangar 3. RAF Museum London. Hendon, Greater London, UK
