Català: Quan es pren un mimètic de BH3 com a fàrmac, aquest forma un complex amb les proteïnes antiapoptòtiques BH1-4 i impedeix que aquestes inhibeixin a les proteïnes proapoptòtiques de la seva família (per exemple, Bak i Bax). Això resulta en la via intrínseca de l'apoptosi, on es forma un porus mitocondrial mitjançant les proteïnes Bak i Bax i surt el citocrom C del mitocondri donant com a resultat final la mort cel·lular de les cèl·lules canceroses. |
