Description
Deutsch: Der Meersalat wächst hier möglicherweise auf einer Pantoffelschnecke (Crepidula fornicata) die wiederum auf einer Miesmuschel sitzt.

Die Aufnahme entstand im flachen Watt zwischen dem Süderheller und dem Westhafen auf der Nordseeinsel Wangerooge.

Bringt man noch grüne Blätter von Meersalat, etwa aus dem Spülsaum, in ein großes Gurkenglas, gefüllt mit Meerwasser, und stellt man das dann in die Sonne, kann man bald sehen, wie an den Blättern kleine Sauerstoffblasen aufsteigen: der Meersalat ist dann noch lebendig und treibt Photosynthese.
