Description
English: These professional truck drivers represented Florida Trucking Association and their Safety Management Council as industry ambassadors. Known as *Florida Road Team Members*, each has a minimum of one million accident free, ticket free driving miles. They delivered driving safety messages to driver training classes and career days in schools, civic groups, business gatherings, fairs and other highway safety and awareness programs. They even partnered with the Florida Highway Patrol to give state troopers a ride along and first hand view from their trucks of highway safety.

While on the campaign trail, Mr. Bush met with the 1,000 plus attendees at the Florida Trucking Association Safety Management Council's annual "Florida Truck Driving Championships" banquet in Tampa. He experienced first hand the importance of truck safety and the role of professional truck drivers. 300 plus professional drivers had competed throughout the two day competitions on knowledge of federal regulations, pre trip safety checks and driving skills on a closed course at the state fair grounds.
