Description
English: in 1904, the D.M. McCarty Store, of Stockton, California... I don't know, went bankrupt? Anyway, a representative for the Boston Store of Tacoma, Washington bought the McCarty stock for 60 cents on the dollar, and then put it on sale at low low low prices.


The Boston Store then published a full-page ad in the Tacoma Times, including this picture of four men in "spring sack suits" from "David Adler and Sons clothiers of Milwaukee".
