Bahasa Indonesia: Tari Topeng Cirebon merupakan salah satu kesenian asal Cirebon. Dinamakan Tari Topeng dikarenakan penari menggunakan topeng sebagai aksesorisnya.
Ciri khas Tari Topeng Cirebon adalah pada gerakan tangan dan tubuh yang gemulai, sementara iringan musiknya didominasi oleh kendang yang dilakukan para niyaga. Selain itu, setiap topeng memiliki bentuk tarian yang berbeda. Adapun 5 jenis topeng yang biasanya disebut panca wanda atau lima rupa mewakili 5 watak manusia, yaitu Panji (menggambarkan jiwa yang halus), Pamindo (menggambarkan jiwa lucu dan lincah), Klana (penggambaran seseorang yang sedang dilanda amarah), Rumyang (wajah yang menggamabarkan karakter remaja yang genit), dan Tumenggung (penggambaran prang dewasa yang gagah dan tegas). |
