Description
Português: Menir em São Bartolomeu de Messines, em Silves, no Algarve - Portugal.

Forma parte de um conjunto de menires em forma subcilindrica talhados em arenito vermelho local, sendo que alguns dos quais possuem figuras gravadas, nomeadamente figuras serpentiformes. A decoração em alguns dos menires remonta a vários períodos.

Como os seus congéneres do Algarve, terá sido erguido durante o Neolítico Antigo.

It forms part of a set of subcylindrical-shaped menhirs carved in local red sandstone, some of which with engraved figures, namely serpentine figures. The decoration on some of the standing stones dates back to various periods.

Like its counterparts in the Algarve, it was built during the Ancient Neolithic era.
