Description
English: Culvert on the Meridian Highway in Pierce County, Nebraska, running under county road 552 Ave just north of the intersection with county road 852 Rd; seen from the west. This is part of a 4.5-mile (7.2 km) segment of the highway that is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The concrete culverts and 4-foot (1.2 m) concrete markers were installed in 1920. The marker at the east end of the culvert is broken and held in place by its rebar; it is visible immediately to the right of the upright marker on the west end. In the left foreground is the marker at the north end of a second culvert, this one running under 852 Rd.
