Description
English: Microstructure of austenitic stainless steel 304L. (a) 304L un-prestrained; (b) 304L prestrained to 10% at 20 °C; (c,d) 304L prestrained to 30% at 20 °C. The structure of (a) is mostly composed of austenite (γ). Martensite (α′) exists in (b) and (c), as they are supposed to the pre-strain.
