Summary: Informal portrait, full-length, Minnie Hennessy of Connecticut, standing outdoors with wrought-iron fence in background, wearing wide-brimmed hat, gloves, two-piece suit with long skirt, high-collared blouse, and tricolor (purple, white, gold) sash.

Minnie Hennesey of Hartford, Conn., was a self-supporting business woman. She was arrested for picketing the White House Oct. 6, 1917, and her sentence was suspended. Rearrested Oct. 8, 1917, she was sentenced to 6 months in prison.
