| Description |
English: Built in 1926-1928, this Art Deco-style skyscraper was designed by E. M. Tucker and Mauran, Russell and Crowell as the first phase of a planned larger structure to serve as the headquarters of the Missouri Pacific Railroad, with the rest of the planned structure never being completed. The building is clad in terra cotta with pinnacles, parapets with curved details, and buttresses and pilasters flanking the windows, large storefronts on the first floor with decorative transoms, and granite cladding at the base. The entrance bay to the building, located at a two-story podium, features an arched parapet with an eagle sculpture and sculptural reliefs above the recessed doorway. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. |
