Description
Deutsch: aus dem DEHIO Vorarlberg 1983: Ansitz Mittelweiherburg, am SO-Rand des Dorfes beim Wasserturm in freier ebener Lage. Erbaut um 1570 durch Hans Christoph Schnabel von Schönstein; vor 1580 Übergabe an Martin von Deuring: 1618-1644 Kloster Weingarten, danach rasch wechselnde Folge adeliger Besitzer bis 1765. 1794 Einbeziehung des Ansitzes in die neugegründete Vogelsche Kottonfabrik, weitgehender Innenumbau. Nach Bränden 1880 und 1827 Abbruch des östlichen Haupttraktes und der westlichen anschliessenden Hofmauer samt Ecktürmchen, Zuschüttung des ehemaligen wasserführenden Ringgrabens. 1880 Auflassung der Fabrik und zunehmender Verfall. 1945 Bombenschäden. 1957-1962 Gesamtrestauration und Adaptierung zum "Heimatmuseum Mittelweiherburg". *** bekannt unter "Textildruckmuseum" an der Rotachstrasse in Hard, Vorarlberg
