Today was the final tour day for the Model T Ford Club of America. For this day at least 20 Model T Fords drove down Route 24 to Bailey Island in Harpswell, Maine. I took this video with a Canon SX 200 point and shoot with hacked firmware. I used the video editing in Lightroom 5 to covert it to BW and to try to give it a period feeling. The location is at Lands End at the tip of the island and the Atlantic Ocean is in the background. It was a lot of fun to see these old cars driving around the area this week. The Downeast Chapter of the Model T Ford Club of America heads off this week for our annual tour. This year we hub out of Brunswick, Maine heading from Freeport to Lewiston to Orr's Island to Yarmouth! Many chapter members are regulars at OHTM, who have supported us in many ways! Rumor has it that you really haven't lived untill you've toured in a Model T. 55 Model T's of all years will infest Brunswick and if you want to follow along..... just find the oil trail. We'll be up there somewhere! Club mottos.... 'Don't let the truth stand in the way of a good time.';, 'If you were in a hurry, you wouldn't be driving a Model T.' and 'Touring in a Model T is all about breaking down in beautiful place';. |
