日本語: 権謀術数に長けた大名「最上 義光（もがみ よしあき）」
最上義光 彼は最上家の11番目の当主です。 彼は1546年の1月に生まれました。 彼がどんな容姿だったのかははっきりしませんが、古い書物には「身長は180㎝以上で、色白で眼光が鋭く普通の雰囲気でない侍だった」と記したものもあります。 彼が当主になった青年期は、この地方はまだ統一された支配体制が整っていませんでした。 そのため、彼は近隣の勢力を攻め従え、彼を頂点とする支配体制づくりに没頭しました。 彼は1614年の1月18日に69歳に病死しました。 当時の侍の平均寿命は約50歳といわれていたので、彼は長生きをした方かもしれません。 彼が亡くなったとき、悲しんだ4人の家来が後を追って切腹しています。 家来からたいへん慕われていた殿様だったことがわかります。 彼の偉大な業績をしのび、「虎将(こしょう)=虎将軍」と呼んでたたえています。 権謀術数の士として一際名高いのが、山形城主・最上義光です。 まず、元亀元年（1570）二十五歳の義光は、自分を幽閉した父・義守を隠居に追い込み、弟・義時を滅ぼし、最上家の跡目をもぎとります。 |
