中文(中国大陆):1949年10月16日,中国人民解放军广州军管会遵照叶剑英主席令,接管位于广州市沙面肇和路67号的国民党广州电台。

1949年10月20日,以“广州人民广播电台”为呼号,代表人民政权的广播电台正式播出;翌年6月,中共广东省委、省人民政府批准成立广东人民广播电台,并以2套节目播出。 1958年,由省政府投资在此处兴建具有欧洲建筑风格,楼内设备国内一流,并被誉为“建国10周年广东十大建筑之一”的广播大楼。1959年9月16日,广东电台迁址于斯。半个世纪几代广播人在这里参与、见证了广东广播的起步、变革与发展!其时,广东人民广播电台已有3套播出节目。 1980年,广东电台在中国内地首创立体声广播,改变了播出模式和提高了收听效果。1986年创办珠江经济广播电台,并因此以“珠江模式”推动了中国内地广播的变革与发展。1996年广东电台已经拥有8套节目。 2002年5月,由广东省人民政府投资的现代化广播大楼——广东广播中心在旧址旁建成启用。 截止立碑之时——2004年10月,广东人民广播电台已拥有9套节目和蜚声中外的太平洋影音公司,是规模最大、资源最多的省级电台之一。

展望未来,广东人民广播电台已绘制实现广播跨越式发展的规划蓝图,深化改革,创新体制,逐步进入新的发展阶段!
English: On October 16, 1949, the Guangzhou Military Control Commission of the Chinese people's Liberation Army took over the Kuomintang Guangzhou radio station located at No. 67 Zhaohe Road, Shamian, Guangzhou, in accordance with the order of chairman Ye Jianying.

On October 20, 1949, the radio station representing the people's political power officially broadcast with the call sign of "Guangzhou people's radio station"; In June of the following year, the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and the provincial people's Government approved the establishment of Guangdong People's Radio and broadcast it in two sets of programs. In 1958, the provincial government invested in the construction of a broadcasting building with European architectural style and domestic first-class equipment, which is known as "one of the top ten buildings in Guangdong on the 10th anniversary of the founding of the people's Republic of China". On September 16, 1959, Guangdong Radio moved to here. For half a century, several generations of broadcasters have participated in and witnessed the start, reform and development of Guangdong broadcasting! At that time, Guangdong People's radio had already broadcast three programs. In 1980, Guangdong Radio pioneered stereo broadcasting in mainland China, changing the broadcasting mode and improving the listening effect. Founded the Pearl River Economic radio station in 1986, it promoted the reform and development of broadcasting in mainland China with the "Pearl River Model". In 1996, Guangdong Radio already had 8 programs. In May 2002, Guangdong broadcasting center, a modern broadcasting building invested by Guangdong Provincial People's government, was completed and put into operation next to the old site. As of the time when the monument was erected - October 2004, Guangdong People's radio has 9 programs and the Pacific Film and Video Corporation, which is famous at home and abroad. It is one of the provincial radio stations with the largest scale and the most resources.

Looking forward to the future, Guangdong People's radio has drawn a blueprint for realizing the leapfrog development of broadcasting, deepened reform, innovated the system, and gradually entered a new stage of development!
