Rousseau, n° 8, 1859, se describe el cuadro en la pág.271 bajo él nº2194 con el siguiente texto: "Après avoir leurs enfants massacré para les Indiens des Pampas (République Argentine), ils sont obligés de fuir leurs ennemis."
