Français : Rue Khelifa-Bou-khalfa (Ex-Denfert-Rochereau) .Elle relie le marché Réda Houhou (ex-Clauzel) à l'hôpital Mustapha. En l'empruntant, on passe à côté de l'église Saint-Charles (aujourd'hui Djamaâ Errahma). De style byzantin, cet édifice religieux fut construit en 1896 par l'architecte Boulin.
Le 28 août 1861, SAINT-CHARLES est érigée en Commune de plein exercice. Le Préfet nomme le premier conseil municipal. M. Merle des Isles est Maire et reste en fonction jusqu'en 1883 Le 9 mai 1863, le maréchal de Pellissier, gouverneur de l'Algérie pose la première pierre de l'Eglise de SAINT-CHARLES. NAPOLEON III se rendant à Constantine traverse SAINT-CHARLES à l'aller et au retour. Le dimanche 28 mai 1865, il s'arrête à El Diss pour y déjeuner, à l'ombre d'un massif de lentisque situé sur la propriété de M. Pascal Bugelli. Le 6 juin à son retour, l'Empereur remarquait sur cet emplacement, un monument commémoratif portant l'inscription : M. Bugelli avait creusé sur les trois autres faces du monument un emplacement identique pour y inscrire chaque année disait-il "ce que l'Empereur aura fait pour l'Algérie après son voyage." L'Empereur a disparu sans que son admirateur ai pu accomplir son voeu. Les 3 faces sont restées vierges. Par contre, l'inscription primitive est devenue illisible ; ayant été martellée par les balles des chasseurs qui manifestaient ainsi leurs sentiments politiques nouveaux. La région de SAINT-CHARLES est une des plus riches de l'arrondissement. De très grands domaines complantés en vignes donnent un vin excellent et réputé. De belles orangeries s'étendent sur les deux bords du Saf-Saf où elles puisent pendant l'été, l'eau nécessaire aux arrosages. Bien que le lit de la rivière soit généralement sec, un cours d'eau souterrain circule cependant. Il suffit de creuser dans le sable des trous peu profonds pour voir apparaître le précieux liquide, richesse des riverains.العربية: مسجد الرحمة يقع وسط العاصمة الجزائرية يعد من أكبر المساجد بالمدينة وأقدمها كما أن هندسته تعتبر فريدة من نوعها تصل طاقة استيعابه إلى حوالي 5000 مصلي متربعا على مساحة 1000 م مربع
الموقع يقع المسجد في حي خليفة بوخالفة يحده من الشمال شارع ديدوش مراد أكبر شوارع العاصمة الجزائرية بينما من الشرق يطل المسجد على شارع فيكتور هيجو الذي يعتبر همزة وصل بين قلب العاصمة والميناء مما يجعل للمسجد موقعا استراتجيا في قلب العاصمة. تاريخ المسجد تم بناء مسجد الرحمة في سنة 1897 ميلادي وقد بنته قوات الاستعمار الفرنسي على شكل كنيسة للمعمرين القادمين من أوروبا وأطلقت عليه اسم كنيسة القديس شارل استكمل بناءه في عام 1903ميلادي. ولقد بقي مسجد الرحمة كواحدة من أهم كنائس العاصمة طوال الحقبة الاستعمارية وتواصل بعدها إلى غاية 1970 ميلادي حيث أصبح عدد المسيحيين في الجزائر لا يجاوز بضع عشرات بينما تضاعف عدد المسلمين, ليعقد اتفاق بين مسيري الكنيسة وبين السلطات المحلية تحول بموجبه الكنيسة إلى مسجد مقابل أن تتنازل الدولة عن العمارتين المقابلتين كتعويض وقد تم ذلك بالتراضي إذ أن عدد الكنائس في العاصمة كان يفوق عدد المساجد بالرغم من أن المسييحيين يمثلون أقلية, تصميم المسجد يتكون المسجد من قاعة مركزية لأداء الصلوات أسفلها مجموعة من المرافق كقاعة الوضوء والمدرسة القرآنية بينما يتكون الطابقان العلويان من مجموعة من الشرفات متفاوتة الحجم تطل كل منها على المسجد وما جاوره من النواحي الأربع ويضم المسجد أيضا مدخلا واسعا تليه حديقة صغيرة كما أن له مداخل صغيرة متعددة بعضها يؤدي إلى دهاليز ماتزال غير مستعملة لحد الآن.أهم مايميز المسجد هو ارتفاعه الشاهق فوق كل الأبنية المجاورة مما يعطيه رونقا خاصا |
