Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The five towers of Muang Tam are, unusually, arranged in two rows (three in front, two in back) rather than the expected quincunx. Four of the towers are partially restored, as seen here, and the culmination of their distinctly terraced levels can easily be visualized. The central front tower, which originally fitted into the space between the right and left front towers, has lost too many bricks to be restored. It would have been the main sanctuary of the temple. The view in this photo faces west, towards what would have been the main (east) entrance of the shrine.
