Das Museum Brandhorst ist ein Museum in der Maxvorstadt in München und Bestandteil des Kunstareal München. Das Gebäude befindet sich nördlich im Anschluss an das Türkentor und die Pinakothek der Moderne. Es wurde am 18. Mai 2009 mit einem Staatsakt eingeweiht und am 21. Mai 2009 eröffnet. Es beherbergt die Sammlung von Udo und Anette Brandhorst, die 1993 in die Udo und Anette Brandhorst Stiftung (Stiftungskapital 120 Millionen Euro) überführt wurde. Die Sammlung wurde seit den 1970er Jahren von der Henkel-Erbin Anette Petersen und ihrem Mann Udo Brandhorst zusammengestellt. Betrieben wird das Museum von den Bayerischen Staatsgemäldesammlungen. ... aus Wikipedia ...
