Description
English: Northbound Georgia State Routes 121 and 23 (Woodpecker Trail/Okefenokee Parkway) as it approaches a railroad crossing for the Norfolk Southern Railway Valdosta District line in Saint George, Georgia. This photo is the fourth in a series of 13 pictures of Saint George, and was taken from my car on February 28, 2024, while on route to Folkston. The crossing is north of the 13 mile marker, but before that a junction road sign for the intersection wtth Georgia State Route 94 can also be found. This freight train was heading towards the Jacksonville Terminal Subdivision, and at the time of the photograph consisted mostly of piggyback semi-trailers and shipping containers. The trailers in the shot of cars includes an undetermined white container trailer, a United Parcel Service semi-trailer, an unknown semi-trailer with some markings, another UPS semi-trailer, a semi-trailer owned by Milestone Equipment Leasing, and an EMP container trailer.
