Summary[edit]

Description
English: The north end of the former U.S. Routes 15 and 301 at the former Lake Marion Bridge in Santee, South Carolina. The bridge was used by cars on this road until the overlap was relocated to the nearby Interstate 95 bridge over Lake Marion in 1987, and since then has been used for a pedestrian bridge, bikeway, and fishing pier. Unfortunately, the condition of the old bridge has diminished significantly, and the South Carolina Department of Transportation has decided to demolish the bridge. As of this time even pedestrians and bicyclists aren't allowed here, not to mention fisherman, although some stray cats have been known to hover around the area.
