Summary
[edit]DescriptionNGC 6026.png |
here's a little poof a planetary nebula, reminiscent of Minkowski 1-1. apparently, it is variable in brightness, as the binary pair of stars at the core consists of a red giant and white dwarf. as the stars orbit each other, the illumination of the nebula changes at a pretty frequent rate. while the photos may not be as stunning has hubble, these ESO planetaries are really exciting to me, because there are just so many I've never seen. I know almost all of the Hubble ones by now. red: vlt/fors2 h_alpha green: pseudo blue: vlt/fors2 oiii |
