Description
Polski: Narożna kamienica braci Aarona Josefa i Jankela Rachmanów

Lokalizacja: Lublin, ul. Jasna 8

Kamienica zbudowana w latach 1937 - 1938 w nurcie streamline (zwanym także stylem „okrętowym”) według projektu arch. Henryka Bekkera i arch. Tadeusza Witkowskiego. Budynek ten jest jednym z najznakomitszych dzieł architektury modernizmu końca lat 30-tych zrealizowanych w stylu „okrętowym” w Lublinie. Cechy tej kamienicy charakterystyczne dla stylu okrętowego to: zwarta forma, uskokowa kompozycja, zachowane zasady proporcji, jasne tynki, opływowe, aerodynamiczne kształty balkonów z metalowymi, okrętowymi balustradami. W okresie od 1944 r. do 1953 r. w budynku znajdowała się siedziba i areszt śledczy Wojewódzkiego Urzędu Bezpieczeństwa Publicznego.

Kamienica wpisana do Gminnej Ewidencji Zabytków Miasta Lublin w poz. 452.
