Dansk: Frihedsmuseet: Maskingenkendt tekst fra fotokuvert: NS personale i Skiiens rådhus.
English: Members of the National Hird (Norwegian: Rikshirden), the paramilitary troops of Norwegian fascist party National Unity (NS, Nasjonal Samling) before and during World War II, photographed in the town hall of Skien, Norway during the German occupation of Norway from 1940 to 1945.
  • The picture depicts uniformed members, a banner with the sun cross emblem, Nazi propaganda posters, and portraits of the party leader Vidkun Quisling.
  • War time photo copied from the collections of the "Freedom Museum" (The Museum of Danish Resistance ) in Copenhagen. No known copyright restrictions.
Norsk bokmål: Medlemmer av Rikshirden, de paramilitære troppene til det norske facistpartiet Nasjonal Samling (NS) før og under andre verdenskrig, fotografert i rådhuset i Skien i Telemark under den tyske okkupasjonen av Norge under krigen 1940–1945.
  • Bildet viser uniformerte medlemmer sittende og stående ved møtebord, deriblant Thorvald Thronsen (ytterst til venstre), i et rom med åpen dør merket med «Regimentsfører». På veggene er en duk eller fane med Hirdens solkorsemblem med to sverd og slagordet «For Norge», nazistiske propagandaplakater for verving til NSUF (NS Ungdomsfylking, fra 1942) og Hirden (fra 1941) malt av no:Harald Damsleth, kart, oppslag og portretter av partilederen Vidkun Quisling. Rikshirden var fram til sommeren 1944 delt inn i sju regimenter der «Regiment Hafrsfjord» omfattet medlemmer fra Rogaland, Agder-fylkene og Telemark.
