English: On Tuesday, September 18, 2018, the LBJ Presidential Library partnered with the University of Texas at Austin's Center for Sports Leadership & Innovation and UT’s Center for Sports Communication & Media for an evening of conversation about equality in sports. The event featured U.S. Olympic female fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad, a bronze medal winner; Nate Boyer, a former UT football player, Green Beret, and NFL player; and Daron K. Roberts, founding director of the Center for Sports Leadership & Innovation. The event was tied to the LBJ Library’s special exhibition, Get in the Game: The Fight for Equality in American Sports, on view through Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019. The conversation was moderated by Mark K. Updegrove, president, and CEO of the LBJ Foundation. |
