Français : "Le tableau du musée Cognacq-Jay est une réplique en buste du "Portrait de Marie Leszczynska, reine de France" peint par Nattier en avril 1748 (musée national du château de Versailles, inv. MV 5672), et qui connut un vif succès au Salon la même année. Il existe de nombreuses copies de ce portrait, de qualités diverses, dont plusieurs ont été généralement acceptées comme de la main même de Nattier ou comme oeuvres de collaboration avec son atelier. Il semble que le tableau du musée Cognacq-Jay doive être attribué en tout ou partie à la main de l'artiste (Burollet, Thérèse, 2004, p.220-223)." [1]
