| Description |
Deutsch: Der „Lienig“ wurde bereits im Jahr 1961 mit einer Anordnung, die das Landwirtschaftsministerium der DDR erlassen hatte, unter Schutz gestellt. Schutzziel für den Lienig war die Erhaltung seines baumartenreichen Laubwaldbestandes und seiner relativ seltenen karstmorphologischen Bildungen. Das Naturschutzgebiet „Lienig“ besitzt eine Größe von 22,95 Hektar, hat in Thüringen die Kennung 025 und den WDPA-Code 164451. Es ist eines von drei Teilgebieten des Flora-Fauna-Habitat-Gebiets „Creuzburger Werratal-Hänge“, mit der thüringeninternen Kennung 35, der europäischen Gebietsnummer 4927-303 und dem WDPA-Code 555520295.
Das Schutzgebiet liegt rechts der Werra, zwischen den Gemeinden Creuzburg und Mihla, im Nordwesten des thüringischen Wartburgkreises. |
