Description
Español: El Pantano de Valbornedo es un embalse destinado al regadío de los terrenos de Navarrete y Fuenmayor, una obra hidráulica dependiente de la Confederación Hidrográfica del Ebro inaugurada en 1930 tras 11 años de ejecución. Esta situado en el término municipal de Navarrete, provincia de la Rioja. Su construcción fue impulsada por el arquitecto y político Amós Salvador en las primeras décadas del siglo XX. Sería Amós Salvador el primer nombre que recibiera el embalse, siendo actualmente nombrado por su ubicación, al estar situado su vaso en el barranco de Valbornedo. El embalse fue diseñado con una capacidad de 430000 metros cúbicos en un valle estrecho de irregular configuración cerrado por un dique de tierra de 227m de longitud en coronación y 25m de altura máxima. La parte libre o exenta del dique fue diseñad con una altura de 16m. Las obras de arraigamiento e impermeabilización, alcanzaron una profundidad de 9m.
