English: The famous Navdurga temple of Bhaktapur. Nava Durga has been established here in eight directions of this Bhaktapur city including Ashta Matrika and Tripura Sundari in the middle. Tripurasundari 2. Bramhayani 3. Maheshwari 4. Virgin 5. Vaishnavi 6. Varahi 7. Indrayani 8. Chamunda 9. Mahalakshmi falls. The masks of 19 incarnations of Durga Shakti are kept in this temple. These goddesses are considered to be the most powerful goddesses in Bhaktapur. There is also a tradition of coming to the Taleju Temple every year on the day of Dashain Tika to exchange the sword of Navdurga Bhagwati Taleju. The Navdurga team is worshiped as the goddess of reality only after the goddess is assimilated with the sword of Taleju. There is a huge crowd of devotees on that day. It has been a tradition to worship this Nava Durga Devi according to the Tantric method.
