Summary[edit]
DescriptionNealMacrossanPark-03.JPG |
English: Stormwater drainage inlet at a low point in the Neal Macrossan Childrens' Playground area set aside as part of the reconfiguration of land under the Paddington Cemeteries Act 1913 (Qld). This reconfiguration was associated with removal of the Old Paddington Cemetery and establishment Of Lang Parkas a sports ground as reported in the Queensland Lands Department Annual Report 1913, Appendix 8
Stormwater drainage passes under Caxton Street and what is now the Suncorp Stadium and has an outlet eventually in the Brisbane River. There is a potential for back-flow from flooding in the Brisbane River. |
