| Description | Cincinnati's Lower Price Hill is not only home to a collection of residential structures, but several mixed-use structures as well, many of which have been converted entirely to residential buildings. These late 19th Century Italianate buildings were originally home to commercial uses on the lower floors with residential space above, but as the neighborhood and retail trends have changed, these buildings have largely been converted into entirely residential structures, with some remaining storefronts being entirely vacant, or filled with businesses that appear to no longer be in operation. Many of these buildings need some sort of attention, whether it be cosmetic repairs or more major renovations, but being that this is an area of disinvestment, that isn't occurring at the rate it should. The future remains in limbo for many buildings in Lower Price Hill, hopefully something will be done to save the endangered buildings before they are damaged beyond repair and have to be demolished. |
