Description
English: Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts, WWII veteran Edward Morrissette, and French Consul General Guillaume Lacroix gather for a photo after the ceremony in which Morrissette received the French Legion of Honor medal Oct. 30, 2019, at the Omaha Army Reserve Center in Elkhorn, Nebraska. Morrissette served with the 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, in seven campaigns and multiple beach landings, including Omaha Beach on D-Day June 6, 1944, and was nominated for the award by his family.
