FOR ALL NATIONS — Elis Molee, who is now living in this city, has originated a plan which has already aroused considerable at- tention, of reuniting all the Teutonic languages into one common mother tongue. He has published two books on the subject, the last one entitled “Tutonish,” having just been issued. In this volume Mr. Molee gives a through exposition of the proposed scheme and includes some samples of the new tongue, which make in- teresting reading to the student of modern languages. The idea of the friend of Tutonish according to Mr. Molee is to draw up a plan for a compromise language of home Teutonic material and then leave it to the press and to the in- fluential commerical and educational interests in the world to persuade their various government to send delegates of expert linguists to a lan- guage congress for the purpose of definitely formulating a scheme for the gradual intro of the re- united language. Mr Molee was formerly a professor of languages in the middle West. |
