Summary[edit]
DescriptionNew York City Looking North from the Empire State Building (2519602247).jpg |
The spectacular view looking north from the second tallest building in New York City (at that time, it was the third tallest, and after 2001, the tallest until new WTC 1 was built). Here are descriptions of the some of the buildings seen: Saint Patrick's Cathedral is a decorated Neo-Gothic-style Roman Catholic cathedral church in the United States. It is the seat of the archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, and a parish church, located on the east side of Fifth Avenue between 50th and 51st Streets in midtown Manhattan, New York City, New York. It faces Rockefeller Center. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Patrick%27s_Cathedral,_New_York Rockefeller Center or Rockefeller Plaza is a complex of 19 commercial buildings covering 22 acres (89,000 m2) between 48th and 51st streets in New York City. Built by the Rockefeller family, it is located in the center of Midtown Manhattan, spanning the area between Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenue. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1987. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rockefeller_Plaza The MetLife Building, originally called the Pan Am Building, is a skyscraper located at 200 Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. The MetLife Building (then Pan Am Building) was the largest commercial office building in the world when it opened on March 7, 1963. It is a recognizable part of the Manhattan skyline and one of the fifty tallest buildings in the United States. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MetLife_Building creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ |
