Summary[edit]

Description New York District’s drift collection vessel DCV Hayward was used as the command vessel for stabilizing and mooring the jetliner to the pier wall along the Hudson River after tugboats towed it from the middle of the river. Here Hayward crew members help a police boat tie off to the boat so officers and divers can board. (photo by Chris Gardner, New York District public affairs)
