Summary

[edit]
Description
English: This building formed the Northern half of the Irving Block, built in 1903 by Samuel Altshuler of the Red Front clothing store and sold in 1908 to Thomas P. Luther. In 1931 the southern half was rebuilt to house the Montgomery Ward department store while this portion was given a new facade. For decades this was the location of the Bellingham branch of J.J. Newberry's variety store which would expand to occupy the Montgomery Ward space after their closure in 1953.
