Summary[edit]

Description Newcastle Station, NSW, 28 September 2018. Built 1878 by the NSWGR's Engineer in Chief, John Whitton. It was closed in 2014 to make way for a light rail scheme and replaced by Newcastle Interchange in the suburb of Wickham - a very controversial decision. Pictured are the main station buildings.
