Description
English: A Syrian partner force element fire their AK-47 Kalashnikov rifles on a firing line in controlled bursts during an advanced marksmanship training event with Coalition Forces instructors in support of Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve in the Dier ez-Zor Province, Syria, Jan. 18, 2019. Through this training, the partner force learns to adjust their fighting stance as needed for maximum efficiency. CJTF-OIR’s mission is to defeat ISIS in designated parts of Iraq and Syria and set conditions for follow-on operations to increase regional stability. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Arjenis Nunez)
