Summary[edit]

Description
English: This is the Alâeddin Camii (1223) on the same hill as the fortress. The Alâeddin mosque was commissioned by Ziynettin Beşare, lord of the sanjak of Niğde, in 1223. Though repeatedly restored it has essentially kept its original state. Inside it is of the usual multi-columned type, and with a window letting in more light in the centre. It has a fine entrance and a good mihrab.
