Typhoon Nida (06W) over China

DescriptionNida 2016-08-02 0305Z.jpg	English: At 03:05 UTC (11:05 a.m. local time) on August 2, the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Terra satellite acquired the natural-color image of Typhoon Nida after it had made landfall near the Dapeng Peninsula, northeast of Hong Kong. According to news reports, Hong Kong received heavy rain and strong winds—canceling more than 180 flights—but there was no major damage.
