A temporary scarecrow exhibit in the village of Nidd, in North Yorkshire, England. This roadside exhibition of up to 16 scarecrows or effigies was expected to begin on 14 October 2023, and last up to 14 days. The exhibits are non-commercial artworks, made to the inhabitants' own designs, and displayed along the edge of the road which goes through the village. The purpose on this occasion was to use the scarecrows and handpainted signs to request speeding drivers to slow down. |
