Summary[edit]
DescriptionNitrogen cycling in a mangrove fiddler crab holobiont.webp |
English: Nitrogen cycling in a mangrove fiddler crab holobiont
Flowchart of N-cycling by the fiddler crab holobiont: all fluxes were obtained combining data from incubations of single crab holobiont (in situ rates, solid lines) and suspended biofilm (potential rates, dashed lines). Note that reported rates differ from those in Table 2 as they were normalized per mean dry weight of crab’s biofilm or per mean dry weight of incubated fiddler crab and are expressed as µmol N crab−1 d−1. The main taxonomic groups involved in N-cycling as indicated by metagenomics analyses are provided. |
