Description
Español: Los pobladores del Perú prehispánico, que fueron eminentemente agricultores, llegaron a utilizar más de doscientas especies vegetales en su alimentación. Recogiendo el legado de sus antecesores, los Incas tuvieron un conocimiento notable de las plantas, aclimatándolas casi en todas las regiones del imperio, especialmente en la Meseta Andina, en donde practicaron una agricultura intensiva y extensiva utilizando los sistemas de andenería, canales de irrigación y abonos.
