In 2000 Malphas and Urmuz gathered in Malphas room and reheresed a few composition. They printed the raw material in 2002 (The embrace of Death) under the name of Infernal Rapture. The material was promising so they decided to move forward. In 2004 they have released the Battle Inside (Ep) containing 2 live tracks and 2 track professionally recorded. In 2006 at Malphas suggestion they changed their name into NocturN and finished Death Scent (LP). In the same year Guts joined them as bass player.
