Description
English: In 2019 the area of viennas former Northern Railway Station (Nordbahnhof) ist a building site. The rails soon will be demolished.The few hundred meters of railway tracks that are still lying on the ground represent rails produced in the years 1911 to 1965 from 10 different steel mills througout europe.
аԥсшәа: Am ehemaligen Nordbahnhof liegen noch die letzten hunderten Meter Gleise im Boden. Wenn man ihre Walzzeichen studiert kann man herausfinden dass die Schienen in einem Zeitraum von 1911 bis 1965 erzeugt wurden. Sie stammen aus beinahe 30 unterschiedlichen Jahren und aus Walzwerken in ganz Europa. Vor allem aus den ehemaligen Kronländern der Monarchie bzw. später dem Deutschen Reich und seinen annektierten Gebieten.
