Summary[edit]

Description
English: A plaque recalling two train crashes at Norton Fitzwarren; it is on the wall of the Village Hall at the end of Station Road. The 1890 crash was a signalling error involving an express train from Plymouth and a train that was shunting. The 1940 crash saw a train run past a stop signal during a wartime blackout.
