| Description |
English: 1977年（昭和52年）、北方領土問題対策協会は、北方領土の早期返還を促進するために、より一層の国民世論の高揚と強力な返還要求運動の持続を象徴するシンボルマークを制定することとし、全国から図案の募集を行いました。これに対し全都道府県から2,886点の応募作品が寄せられ、専門家らにより入賞作品の審査が行われました。
最終的に、返還要求運動のシンボルマークとして分かりやすく、デザイン的にも優れている作品が最優秀賞に選ばれ、「北方領土返還要求シンボルマーク」として決定されました。 このシンボルマークは、現在、北方領土の返還を求める集会や講演会、街頭啓発活動等の際に使用されているほか、パンフレットやポスター、名刺等、返還要求運動の様々な場面で使用されています。 |
