Title |
Nuclear Reactor Ignalina Lithuania |
|||
Description |
500px provided description: The light-water nuclear reactor at Ignalina, Lithuania, formerly one of the largest reactors in the Soviet Union. Finally closed in 2009 at the insistence of the EU. The silver pipe carried spare hot water to the nearby town of Visaginas. This RBMK-type reactor is similar to the one at Chernobyl. Only Russia uses the design now.
