Il Kursaal Margherita (nel 1914 fu ricostruito con una struttura in stile liberty e inaugurato con il nome Kursaal Margherita, in onore della moglie di re Umberto I di Savoia) è il primo edificio realizzato in cemento armato, ed è ancora oggi l'unico in Europa per la particolare costruzione su palafitte.
