Español: NUTACIÓN.
La NUTACIÓN, del latín "nutare": cabecear, descubierta por el astrónomo James Bradley (1728), es un movimiento solapado al de la PRECESIÓN DE LOS EQUINOCCIOS. Este se debe a un movimiento de PRECESIÓN lunar tal como lo tiene la Tierra, y con un período de 18 años y 219 días, que corresponde a un giro de la línea de los nodos lunares sobre la Eclíptica, y produciendo un cabeceo u oscilación del eje terrestre describiendo una pequeña elipse con un eje mayor de 18” de grado en círculo de longitud y con un eje menor de 13” de grado en latitud. Consecuencia de la Nutación es la variación de +9” y -9” de grado de la Oblicuidad de la Eclíptica, hoy de 23° 27’ y por lo tanto de la variación en latitud de las estrellas también en + 9" o -9" de grado.
